BOULDER, Colo. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Breaking your arm isn’t so bad – actually, it’s badass.That’s thanks to “Casttoos,” adhesive images that can be placed over casts to give the appearance of tough tattoos.
Creator Jessica Smith came up with the idea after she broke her own wrist and drew an intricate pattern on her cast out of boredom.
Having her cast look like a cute, colorful accessory rather than proof of her clumsiness made the healing process a little easier, so Smith thought other accident prone people should also benefit.
She says, “It’s happy healing. You know you’re gonna be just fine, but the six weeks of down time where you can’t shower or brush your hair or ride your bike is awful. This takes the edge off.”
Kids also enjoy looking extra tough with their tattooed cast covered in dragons, flames, and other traditional edgy ink.
