Send A C-Note To Haiti
Wednesday, February 24, 2010 19:35 GMT
BOSTON (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) A C-note sure goes a long way in Haiti. Not a Benjamin but a piece of art created by Erik Rosen, who turns songs into masterpieces he calls cNotes.
His colorful paintings consisting of different sized rectangles are actually songs, with each rectangle representing a single musical note.
Rosen acquired the gift to actually see music, and thus paint it, when he was hospitalized for a stem cell transplant. The ability to see music is known as synesthesia and was a trip for him at first.
Now its become an obsession and his purpose in life.
Since acquiring this gift, Rosen has been painting songs like Bob Marleys Redemption Song and We Are The World, which hes auctioning off to raise funds for Haitian relief.
Rosen says the auction is a way to give back and show gratitude for all those who were there for him when he was hospitalized.
