Pin-Ups Get Blood Pumping

Friday, February 5, 2010 17:06 GMT

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A hot pin-up girl can really get someone’s heart pumping.

For generations, men young and old have enjoyed ogling photos of babes like Farrah Fawcett and Betty Page, and the Femina Potens gallery in San Francisco is exploring why with the Pin Me Up And Down exhibit starting tomorrow (Feb. 6).

Pin-up style art will be on display and various discussions will take place throughout the month focusing on how and why these women send hearts a-flutter.

Spokesperson Madison Young says, “People have fond memories of these women pinned to their walls. They’d make their heart race and their mind wander between her breasts while their hands wander beneath the sheets. This is an ode to the women who provoked that.”

If that doesn’t get blood flowing to the nether regions, the gallery will also host a “Burlesquercise” class where participants can don their sexiest vintage lingerie and learn how to shimmy like an old-time sexpot.
