Former As The World Turns star Deja Kreutzberg plays a popular teen dealing with serious issues in To Save A Life, in theaters Friday (Jan. 22).
The 27-year-old had to step back into high school and a cheerleading uniform to nail the role.
The latter came easy since she cheered in high school, but Kreutzberg turned to real teens to get the scoop on whats happening today.
All the extras in the movie were actual teenagers, so she chatted with them about the pressures affecting their lives.
She found that kids have it real tough, what with drugs, alcohol, pregnancies, cyber bullying, and sexting.
She even learned of a bizarre sex game involving bracelets that kids are pressured to play in school.
Kreutzberg says shell continue doing high school roles as long as she can, especially ones that kids can relate to.
