SAG Awards Don’t Come Cheap

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Glitzy awards shows may look effortless, but that’s not the case at all.

The 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards air January 23 on TBS, and the production of the show is a real doozie.

For instance, a whopping 17,193 square feet of red carpet will be laid out to accommodate celebrity arrivals at the Shrine Auditorium.

Inside, the stage floor will be lined with 150 sheets of black Formica while the ceiling is outfitted with massive chandeliers.

In the dining room, there will be more than 1,200 champagne glasses, 2,400 pieces of flatware, and 1,200 charger plates placed on 86 tables covered in rich-textured silk, where celebs will sit and mingle.

More than 2,000 cream-colored roses, hundreds of hydrangeas, and 1,000 white orchids will fill the room.

Finally, guests will dine on delicacies like sliced lamb with French feta salsa verde and sip on 192 bottles of wine and 108 bottles of Grey Goose Vodka available at the bar.
