To ready themselves for competition, more athletes are now turning to sports psychologists not just physical training to achieve peak physical performance.
According to sports psychologist John Boesky, athletes are using hypnosis and visualization exercises to unlock the power of the unconscious mind.
These therapies help them become more self aware, which in turn helps them become better competitors.
Boesky says that 92 percent of what people do comes from the subconscious and that by knowing how theyre wired, athletes can come closer to realizing their true potential.
He says what separates winners from losers is all in an athletes mind and many dont realize that the body is a merely servant of the subconscious.
If they subsconciously believe theyre great, they likely will be.
