Athletes Tap Into Subconscious

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Pro athletes are no longer just training their bodies, they’re exercising their brains too.

To ready themselves for competition, more athletes are now turning to sports psychologists – not just physical training – to achieve peak physical performance.

According to sports psychologist John Boesky, athletes are using hypnosis and visualization exercises to unlock the power of the unconscious mind.

These therapies help them become more self aware, which in turn helps them become better competitors.

Boesky says that 92 percent of what people do comes from the subconscious and that by knowing how they’re wired, athletes can come closer to realizing their true potential.

He says what separates winners from losers is all in an athlete’s mind and many don’t realize that the body is a merely servant of the subconscious.

If they subsconciously believe they’re great, they likely will be.
