Hidden Holiday Costs Revealed

REDMOND, Wash. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Haphazard holiday shopping costs a lot of time and money – even if you don’t buy anything.

According to research by an economist for Bing.com, the average American will lose at least $114 just trying to shop this holiday season.

That’s because people are expected to take 5.4 shopping trips, spend 2.79 hours driving to and from the mall, and travel a total of 99.9 miles.

This will cost folks $16 in gas and $98 in lost work hours even before buying any gifts.

Instead of running around aimlessly and wasting valuable time and cash, Bing shopping allows consumers to quickly and easily search for holiday items, compare prices, and read reviews before even leaving for the mall.

Shoppers can also earn money back when buying directly from Bing cashback.

Starting on Black Friday (Nov. 27), increased rebates up to 35 percent will be available from select merchants like Macy’s, HP, and Walmart by searching and shopping on Bing.com during the Bing cashback Holiday Gold Rush promotion.
