According to a poll by Superdrug, the top worry for 31 percent of girls is looking good in class, rather than doing well in class.
Tweens and teens are obsessed with their appearance, as 25 percent believe their good looks will get them further in life than good test scores.
Around 33 percent of teen girls spend just under an hour a day primping for school. More than 50 percent admit their looks are influenced by celebrities.
About 18 percent of girls consider bad hair to be their No. 1 worry, while 18 percent fret about their weight, 17 percent about bad skin, and 10 percent about being too hairy.
By contrast, teen boys only spend 13 minutes a day getting ready for school, and only 17 percent are worried about their looks.
The top things on boys minds are homework, fitting in with friends, and being bullied.
