Dog Poo: A Serious Danger

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Fido’s feces puts people at serious risk, and one man is doing his doggone darndest to stop it.

Ron Wizgan is the co-creator of the PooTrap, a harness that attaches to dogs and catches their poop in disposable plastic bags, ensuring that doggy doo-doo never touches the ground or owners’ hands.

Wizgan says that 50 percent of pet owners fail to pick up their dog’s poo and those leftovers are full of parasites that pose “a serious danger” to the world.

He explains, “Even if you do pick it up, it leaves a residue. When it rains, the parasites spread and multiply. Kids play in the grass and get sick from the feces. It’s horrible.”

With the bags, Wizgan hopes to make staying safe from a dog doo related illnesses “more convenient” for people.

He thinks pet owners in Europe will especially get good use out of it since they’re heavily fined for not picking up their pup’s droppings.
