Jason Bateman Trips Out, Bro

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Jason Bateman’s latest film role was a real trip.

The Arrested Development alum stars in Mike Judge’s upcoming workplace comedy, Extract, where he plays a fed-up factory owner.

At one point, his straight-laced character cuts loose and pops a few ketamine pills, a scene Bateman fully committed to.

He jokes, “I went VERY method for the K-hole.”

Bateman is proud to be in an edgy Judge flick, mostly because Judge’s style of comedy is anything but cheesy.

He explains, “Mike’s comedy is subtle and sophisticated and doesn’t beg the audience to laugh. He never hits anybody in the face with a pie. He will blow a guy’s balls off, but he draws the line there.”

Extract hits theaters Friday (Sep. 4).
