The Ghost Whisperer star has teamed up wih IDW Publishing to release Jennifer Love Hewitt’s The Music Box, a 10- issue horror/thriller anthology about a mysterious music box that causes strange occurrences for the people who possess it. NEW YORK – A new form of hip-hop is emerging. City Of God’s Son is an experimental hip-hop opera starring Nas, Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G., Samuel Jackson, Lawrence Fishburne, and Al Pacino among others in a new viral video made completely from samples and re-appropriated audio/visual media. It can be seen on cityofgodson.com and will screened tomorrow (Jul. 29) and Thursday (Jul. 30) in New York City at an art installation. LOS ANGELES – The final recordings of ’60s staple Mama Cass Elliot will be reissued August 25 on a CD titled Cass Elliot: The Road Is No Place For A Lady. The recordings are originally from 1968-1971, after Elliot – of the Mamas & the Papas fame – dropped the “Mama” and did her own thing. The reissue includes two previously unreleased tracks.
