Thats because its National Wear Your Pajamas To Work Day, as instituted by Vermont-based company, PajamaGram.
The pajama maker wants Americans to give themselves a break after Tax Day (Apr. 15) and come to work in their favorite jammies.
PajamaGram spokesperson Wendy Duval says sporting PJs to work is an easy way to relax after the tax deadline and argues that the casual wear is conducive to the workplace, not distracting.
She says, If youre comfortable, the creative juices really start flowing. You can have fun and still get the job done.
Duval believes stressed out employees could really benefit from Pajama Day and she should know: PajamaGram employees get to wear their jammies to work whenever they want.
Though theres a plethora of pajamas to choose from, Duval says the loose boyfriend style PJs are popular for the workplace, since a revealing nighty may not be so professional.
