Bad Economy Good For Dating World?

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – According to one professional wingman, the crummy economy is benefitting the dating world.

Dating columnist Michael Somerville hosts the Fine Living Network’s new show, Wingman, premiering tomorrow (Feb. 10), where he guides singles to romantic success.

Although economic times are tough, Somerville says lack of cash doesn’t have to put a damper on dating.

In fact, he argues that the poor economy is actually helping singles because they’re having to come up with more creative ideas for dates on a budget.

Somerville says “high school style” dates are in, where couples play frisbee in a park, catch an outdoor movie, or make dinner at home.

He recently had a date with a woman who made brownies for him in lieu of going to a pricey bar.

Somerville says creativity is what makes dating fun, and he’s happy to give singles pointers.

He figures being a wingman is fitting since he looks like a modern-day Cupid, “right down to the curly hair.”
