Pizza Rushed On Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 1)

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Yards won’t be the only things rushed this Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 1), pizza delivery workers will be rushed too.

Super Bowl XLIII will be one of the year’s busiest pizza delivery days.

Domino’s Pizza anticipates delivering more than 1.1 million pizzas nationwide on game day, 44 percent more than on a typical Sunday.

Over the years, Domino’s has observed how certain game- day scenarios affect sales.

For instance, Super Bowl Sunday game sales tend to skyrocket when the game is close and fans are glued to their TVs.

Pepperoni pizzas are the biggest seller on game day, a tradition that should stand strong this Sunday.

Domino’s expects 60 percent of their pizza orders to be for pepperoni-topped pies, and sausage pizzas to come in second.

Drivers for the pizza chain will cover up to 4 million miles across the country on game day.
