Bad Wrapping Gets Rewarded

LAS VEGAS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One contest is rewarding those with truly terrible gift wrapping abilities.

Sandy Sandler, creator of the bow-making gadget the Bowdabra, is on a crusade to teach people how to properly wrap a present.

She’s holding a contest to find the worst gift wrapper in America now through October 31 on bowdabra.com.

The winner unwraps a trip to Las Vegas and goodies that will teach them the ropes of wrapping.

Sandler says the tell-tale signs of a bad wrapper are when they “take a Wal-Mart bag and just throw the gift in it,” don’t cover the entire gift with wrapping paper, or stick a bow to a present without bothering to wrap it at all.

Though Sandler says most bad wrappers can be cured, some are “doomed” to a life of giving ugly-looking gifts – and it may be due to genetics.

She explains, “If the person who taught them how to gift wrap didn’t know how to do it right, then they’re not gonna ever know. It’s passed on.”
