Artist Likes Cars That Go Boom

ROTTERDAM, Netherlands (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One Dutch artist’s car stereo is bigger, badder, and booming.

Olaf Mooij knows how to get a party started, turning his regular sedan into a mingling machine by installing 12 huge speakers, turntables, and a bumpin’ sound system that blasts 2,000 watts of sound, calling it the Mobile DJ.

Mooij says he was inspired by the Faithless song “God is a DJ” and the Pope mobile, hoping to create, “A rocket for sound.”

Mooij says he enjoys driving around the city playing loud house music, but changes up the tunes depending on the mood.

He says, “Sometimes I will play love songs and even classical music, if necessary. It depends on what kind of party you want.”

Mooij assures his Mobile DJ doesn’t incite riotous dancing in the streets, mainly because it takes more than music to get people moving.

He explains, “You need more for a party. You need a bar and drinks and other things.”
