The 7th Annual Monterey Beer Festival is bringing up to 3,500 people to the Monterey Country Fairgrounds this Saturday (Aug. 2) to taste as many as 400 different styles of suds.
Despite serving 3,000 gallons of beer from around the world, festival founder Jeff Moses says the beer bash never gets out of control.
Moses says, Weve never had a problem with fights or anyone wrecking their car. People are very responsible. Monterey is very small its just 3,000 or so people who really like beer and want to come out and see their friends.
Moses credits the good boozin behavior to five-ounce tasting cups, but even with the fun, family atmosphere, not a drop of drink goes to waste.
He says, No matter how much beer we put out, theres never any left.
