Milk Does A Body Bad

HARVARD, Ill. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Milk isn’t always good for you.

On Saturday (Jun. 7), as part of the 67th Annual Harvard Milk Days festival, up to 125,000 people will head to Harvard, Illinois, to watch 100 chugging competitors face off in the Milk Drinking Contest.

While chugging a quart of whole milk in the current record time of 15 seconds seems downright dangerous, spokesperson Wanda Marzahl says vomiting at the drink-off isn’t as rampant as you’d think.

She says, “People don’t feel too good afterwards, but there’s only three people or so that vomit each year. They must practice before they come!”

Anyone’s welcome to compete, but Marzahl says casual chuggers don’t stand a chance against the hometown milk masters.

She says, “People who pass through town will enter and think they can beat these kids who compete every year, but they never do. They’re usually the ones who get sick.”

Though drinkers have all types of strategies, Marzahl’s only advice is, “Don’t ride the rides before.”
