‘Functionistas’ Get High-Tech Help – Period

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – You can’t cramp a modern woman’s style.

Marti Barletta is an expert on women’s trends who’s coined the phrase “Functionista” to describe women who take advantage of technological tools and time-saving strategies to balance their busy lives.

Women today are using BlackBerries, iPhones, and online grocery shopping to streamline their lives, but it’s not the price of the PDA that’s important.

Barletta says, “Being a functionista isn’t about being rich or elite. It’s an attitude.”

Aside from the trusted tech tools, wonder women are also getting help in the health department, and they’re now able to get rid of a cramp in their monthly schedule.

Seasonique is a birth-control pill that gives women only four periods a year and frees women from the hassle of monthly trips to the pharmacy for sanitary products.

Barletta says, “Being a functionista isn’t just about technology, it’s about lifestyle management. Seasonique takes the curse out of every month.”
