Coffin Grants Good Luck

WAURIKA, Okla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One creepy prop is keeping a restaurant in Waurika, Oklahoma, lively.

The Courthouse Grill is dead set on helping make their patrons’ wishes come true with their in-house lucky charm, a coffin from the early 1900s that when rubbed gives people a touch of good luck.

Owner Billie Porter says the coffin’s powers are unexplainable.

She says, “I don’t know if it’s been used or not, but maybe that’s where the luck comes from.”

But the results are undeniable.

She explains, “You make a wish and rub it, and things just happen. It’s weird. We’ve had everything from women who couldn’t have babies getting pregnant, to winning the lottery. I don’t know if it works for everybody, but I hope it does.”

People from all over have traveled to the restaurant to rub the coffin, and Porter assures the freaky charm’s power won’t be going anywhere.
