NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One rockin’ website is letting music fans wear a piece of their favorite rock star. is a charitable foundation that sells bracelets fashioned from musicians’ used guitar strings, with proceeds going to the charity of the artist’s choice.

More than 100 rock stars have donated their strings, including Keith Richards, Slash, and John Mayer, raising $300,000 for charities like Habitat for Humanity and Music Cares.

According to company co-founder Steve Bernstein, artists love getting involved because they don’t have to go out of their way to help.

He says, “A lot of people bug the artists, like, ‘Play my event,’ but here they just hand over their strings.”

Bernstein says any music fan would love the bracelets, which cost up to $500, because it’s a way to feel close to their favorite rocker.
