Billionaire Battle Yields Huge Vegas Payout

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Las Vegas’ three biggest billionaire businessmen have no plans to fold ’em.

Christina Binkley is the author of Winner Takes All: Steve Wynn, Kirk Kerkorian, Gary Loveman, and the Race to Own Las Vegas (Hyperion), which uncovers the personal lives of Kerkorian, the aging billionaire who owns more than half the Vegas Strip, and Loveman, the current CEO of Harrah’s Entertainment.

But Binkley hit the jackpot with Steve Wynn, owner of Wynn Resorts.

She says, “He’s very flashy, but there were a lot of times he admitted his mistakes to me, and even seemed desperate. He’s legally blind, and I remember him grabbing my arm to help him walk, even though he never would have asked for help.”

Binkley says the billionaire building battle – including Krekorian’s $7 billion dollar “City Center,” which will be as large as “a sizeable chunk of Manhattan,” is upping the ante for Sin City.

She says, “Vegas is only getting larger. It’ll look very different in two years.”

Winner Takes All is out now.
