Campaigning At Disneyland Takes Real Magic

ANAHEIM, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The presidency isn’t the only dream job worth campaigning for.

In Disneyland’s search for its first ever Chief Magical Officer (CMO), – who’ll be responsible for creating magical experiences for park guests – Disney Parks has narrowed the field to 10 finalists, all vying for the dream job at the “Happiest Place On Earth.”

Voting goes from now through March 22, and each candidate has created an online campaign, but instead of donkeys and elephants, the ads feature one of five iconic Disney characters: Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Cinderella, Tinker Bell, or Simba.

It’s been a rollercoaster ride for the 10 semi-finalists, who were chosen out of 1,300 applications, and who had to each complete a Magic Aptitude Test proving why he or she would be the ideal CMO.

According to Disney Parks, all the candidates had to meet special, magical criteria, including, “the ability to pillage and plunder with pirates and befriend dwarves – up to seven at a time,” in order to make it to the final round.
