Marriage Contract Needs New Clause

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The marriage contract needs a serious makeover. is an online community for women contemplating, navigating, and moving beyond divorce, and company founder Debbie Nigro says one way to stop the drastic divorce rate is to put a clause in the commitment contract.

Nigro says, “Marriage should be a five-year renewable contract, where you reassess the sincerity and integrity of the marriage every five years. If your husband or wife knows the marriage is not a slam dunk, they’ll try harder.”

Nigro advocates couples living together for a year before tying the knot, and says, “Love is grand until real life intervenes! People don’t always make the most rational decisions while in love. Live together until the chemicals wear off, then decide.”

And Nigro’s all for giving marriage a second try – as long as you don’t follow one celebrity couple’s lead.

Nigro says, “It’s a new beginning, but look at Paul McCartney and Heather Mills. That’s a prime example of a second marriage gone bad.”
