Engage.com has just conducted their First Annual State of the Date Report, which reveals the attitudes of singles in the U.S. towards life, love, and dating.
And although 68 percent of singles say theyre interested in finding love and getting married in the next five years, the dates arent exactly rolling in.
About 22 percent of singles cant remember the last time they actually went on a date, while another 22 percent went completely dateless throughout the last year.
But that doesnt mean singles go totally solo.
One in three singles has had a friend with benefits in the last year, and 33 percent were hooking up with someone.
And when singles score dates, the ladies lay down the laws.
More than 50 percent of single women say a man should pick the venue for a first date and do the driving, and 49 percent of women say they NEVER pay for a date.
