‘State Of The Date’ Report Yields Sassy Singles’ Results

SAN MATEO, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14) and singles are dishing on their solo state of mind. has just conducted their First Annual State of the Date Report, which reveals the attitudes of singles in the U.S. towards life, love, and dating.

And although 68 percent of singles say they’re interested in finding love and getting married in the next five years, the dates aren’t exactly rolling in.

About 22 percent of singles can’t remember the last time they actually went on a date, while another 22 percent went completely dateless throughout the last year.

But that doesn’t mean singles go totally solo.

One in three singles has had a “friend with benefits” in the last year, and 33 percent were “hooking up” with someone.

And when singles score dates, the ladies lay down the laws.

More than 50 percent of single women say a man should pick the venue for a first date and do the driving, and 49 percent of women say they NEVER pay for a date.
