Nosy Neighbors Use The Rod

LONDON (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Nosy neighbors can now eavesdrop with ease.

Irish designer Finn Magee is helping prying people listen in on their neighbor’s conversations with the “Neighbor Rod,” a stethoscope attached to a long wooden stick.

According to Magee, the snooping stick is “not just for nosy old ladies,” but for anyone who has a meddlesome streak in them.

And it can help people imagine their own “friendly” experience.

Magee says, “It’s like the ugly, naked guy neighbor on Friends who the character’s used to spy on. The Neighbor Rod allows a person to imagine their own ugly, naked guy who they don’t talk to or particularly care about, and listen in on them.”

But for those who’ve heard enough noise from next door, the Neighbor Rod comes with a bonus function.

Magee explains, “If you don’t want to hear any more noise, you can just bang the wall with the rod. It’s a good domestic tool for people to have.”
