Discrete Wireless is a GPS vehicle tracking system installed into the dashboard of a car that sends information on the cars whereabouts directly back to the owner.
The tracking technology is meant for companies sending out service fleets, but has found a large clientele in worried parents wanting to keep tabs on their teens.
Company marketing director Shawn Millar says, Parents get the peace of mind of knowing where their kids are. I wouldve hated it if my parents did it to me, but parents have the right to know how their cars are being used.
But its not just parents trying to keep watch on their loved ones.
Millar says, We get jilted wives and husbands trying to buy one after someone didnt come home. But we try and talk them out of it. We also screen for stalkers.
