VIP Fibers allows customers to send in fur from their pets and have it spun into yarn and thread, which can then be made into scarves, mittens, and blankets of pure fuzzy pet fur.
VIP owner Victoria Pettigrew says customers are usually looking for a memento to keep their pets memory alive, and has actually made herself a scarf from one of her deceased doggies fur to help herself cope with the loss.
Pettigrew claims her company wont turn any fur down, and has gotten piles of fur not only from cats and dogs, but from stranger, scarier sources like donkeys and even Bengal tigers.
But dont go snipping your furry friends coat just yet.
According to Pettigrew, hair thats cut or shaved is too blunt and prickly, and she says the best type of fur is what you pull right off your pets brush.
