The Entrex Private Company Index (PCI) is an organization that charts the performance of roughly 500 private companies making an annual revenue between five and 100 million dollars, and while $100 million may get your financial fire going, PCI director Erika Conefry says starting your own successful business wont necessarily leave you rolling in dough.
She says, Its a well-published concept that a good number of entrepreneurs are on their second or third company. If one company closes, an entrepreneur would rather start another company than go work for someone else.
And while fighting on the business front certainly doesnt compare to defending your country, there are still risks involved.
Conefry says, The entrepreneur community would say having their own business is the ultimate control thats what they love about it. But people who dont have a sensibility in that direction would probably view it as risky. Its a perspective issue.
