Bodybuilder Only Looks Meaty

PORTLAND, Ore. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – For one vegan bodybuilder in Portland, Oregon, being a beefcake doesn’t mean eating beef steak.

Robert Cheeke, who’s been bodybuilding for more than seven years, believes that the reason he’s been able to keep his bodacious bod is due to his vegan lifestyle.

The beefy builder claims he’s packed on over 70 pounds of muscle with his non-beef diet, and doesn’t understand how his competitors can power down a steak and still perform.

Cheeke says, “I watch these guys eat all this meat right before a competition and think, ‘It’s not a healthy lifestyle.’ Before a competition, I usually eat potatoes and yams or whatever I’m craving that day.”

Even though Cheeke is diligent with his diet and supplements, he worries about taking in too much protein, but figures, “If it’s more plant-based protein, it can’t be that bad.”
