Director Has Bloody Good Time With New Play

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – According to one theater director, the best way to keep yourself from going on a murderous rampage is to go watch a gory play.

San Diego director Scott Feldsher – who is currently directing the play Seven Crimes: A Celebration of Murder, Mayhem and Mutilation – says watching people die on stage “can be cathartic for the audience. No one really dies in the play, so it’s a safer environment to release the darker impulses.”

Feldsher says audience members can laugh and relish bloody scenes that would normally leave them a bit squeamish.

He explains, “There’s an awful pleasure in watching the most perverse kind of comedy. Audience members leave shows feeling unburdened because they’ve just watched something horrible happen to another person.”

Seven Crimes runs until November 4. For more info, check out
