Spirit-Loving Spirits Haunt The Napa River Inn

NAPA VALLEY, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Spirit-loving spirits have guests at one hotel wondering who killed their wine.

That’s the ghost story from Sara Brooks, the general manager of the famously haunted Napa River Inn, which was built in 1884 and is said to be haunted by the original owners and a man who hung himself in one of the rooms.

According to Brooks, along with TV’s switching on and off and actual ghost sightings, items are often reported missing by guests and employees, including some of the area’s finest wines.

She says, “Bottles of wine have disappeared, but they usually turn up somewhere else. I guess when anything is this old, lot of crazy things are bound to happen.”

Despite the scary spirits’ inability to drink, Brooks still worries about their alcohol problem.

She says, “I hope the ghosts aren’t alcoholics, because there sure is a lot of wine around here for them to take.”
