Jeanne Wolf’s Hollywood: Celebrity Advance Items From Movies.Com

HOLLYWOOD (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Smooth-talking actor Jamie Foxx plays a tough FBI agent on the trail of terrorists in the upcoming action flick The Kingdom, and he tells columnist Jeanne Wolf that he was treated like a king while filming the movie in Saudi Arabia, especially when it came to the luxurious hotel where he stayed in Abu Dhabi. Foxx says, “You could’ve played an arena football game in there. Just to get around the hotel, we were transported in Phantoms and armored Mercedes. There’s so much money over there, it’s mind-boggling.”

HOLLYWOOD – Sexy, crime-fighting starlet Jennifer Garner kicks butt as an FBI agent in The Kingdom, and she tells Jeanne Wolf that her husband, Ben Affleck, wasn’t too nervous about her doing her own stunts. Garner explains, “Ben was on the set when I did my stunts and I tried to forget he was there. I kept thinking, ‘I’m a mother now. Maybe I won’t do the thing where I’m thrown up against the wall and crash on the floor.’ The funny part was Ben didn’t even blink. I would have liked him to be a little nervous.”

HOLLYWOOD – Wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had the time of his life filming his new family comedy The Game Plan, and even got to live out one of his rockin’ dreams on the set. Johnson tells Jeanne Wolf, “There’s a scene where I get to sing ‘Are You Lonesome Tonight,’ and I wasn’t lip synching. And the guitar I was playing was used by The King. It was a high point in my career. Growing up, I really wanted to be Elvis. I would’ve fit right into the Memphis Mafia.”

HOLLYWOOD – The Closer star Kyra Sedgwick plays a hard driving sports agent in The Game Plan, but confesses she didn’t know much about her co-star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson until she did some research on Sedgwick tells Jeanne Wolf, “I told my son that I was going to be working with him [Johnson], and he went, ‘Mom, can you smell what The Rock is cooking?’ And I was like, ‘What the hell are you talking about?’ He said, ‘YouTube him, Mom.’ So I did, and I was inundated with this image of this wrestler guy and that whole world of wrestling that beat The Closer in ratings our first year.”

HOLLYWOOD – Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman plays a local professor who dishes advice on love and relationships in Feast of Love, but in real life, Freeman tells Jeanne Wolf he’s no Dr. Phil. Freeman – who’s been happily married for 23 years – says, “I don’t think I’m cut out to get involved in affairs of the heart. I’m more of a jock, I’d rather talk about learning to play golf, or flying a plane, or sailing my boat.”

HOLLYWOOD – Australian actress Radha Mitchell plays Greg Kinnear’s wife in Feast of Love, and she tells Jeanne Wolf that shooting her nude scenes for the film was both nerve-racking and rewarding. Mitchell explains, “I did feel vulnerable, but it was also liberating to realize there were 30 fully clothed crew people watching who looked more uncomfortable than I did. It helps you get over a lot of your insecurities about your body. You’re just like, ‘F, this is how I am.’”
