Tour Guide Turns Downtown L.A. Into Downtown Disney

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you want to see all the hidden treasures downtown Los Angeles has to offer, just look for the guy wearing Mickey Mouse ears.

Tour guide Charles Phoenix is offering tours in downtown Los Angeles October 14 and October 21 that will explore hidden fun spots that have been forgotten by most.

Phoenix says that while he was plotting his tour, he realized that L.A. is just like Disneyland, because in his words, “Each spot is so precious. You walk in, and ask, ‘What decade is this?’”

Tour takers are introduced to oldie-but-goodie spots like Clifton’s Brookdale Cafeteria, The Sunken Garden, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

And the L.A. native isn’t the only one that sees the parallels of L.A. to Disneyland on the tour, insisting that tourists always agree with his “Happiest Place On Earth” comparison.

And even while the tour is more about the celebration of Americana, Phoenix tries to keep with the spirit of the tour.

He explains, “I’m wearing my Mickey ears, you can wear yours too!”
