Nine-Year-Old Comedian Handles Stage Like A Pro

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A nine-year-old comedian in Los Angeles knows the tricks of the trade when it comes to keeping it cool on stage.

Young comedian Dustin Joiner – one of America’s youngest professional stand-up comedians, who has performed on shows like America’s Most Talented Kids and Steve Harvey’s Big Time – says his trick to comedy success is to stay calm and always have a back-up, go-to joke up his sleeve.

Says Joiner: “If I forget one of my jokes on stage, I always use my joke about a mom with a kid on a leash instead. I don’t really get too nervous when I do comedy – I get more nervous when I turn in my homework!”

Joiner will get the chance to give other “kid- medians” some pointers when he helps judge the My Fruit Roll-Ups “Eat My Words Contest,” where kids send in one-minute videos of their best comedy routines to win the title of America’s funniest child comedian, along with cash and prizes.

The contest runs tomorrow (Sept. 18) through December 11 on, and Joiner already has one simple tip for wannabe winners.

He advises, “Just make sure you’re funny!”
