The 21st Annual North Carolina Seafood Festival swims into Morehead City, North Carolina, on October 5, and the weekend fest features more than 200 seafood salesmen reeling in revelers with everything from fish tacos and corn chowder, to oysters, shark bites, and softshell crabs.
And theres a raw, rolled item that is sure to get people fired not fried up.
Vendors will be offering sushi made from local North Carolina fish, and executive director Stephanie McIntryre says the healthy option will show friends of the fishy feast that, there will be plenty of fried shrimp, but there are other options besides just frying it.
In addition to all the fishy feasting, the seafood shindig also features live entertainment, a fishing tournament, and an early morning road race to help sweat out the seafood and reel you back into top swimming shape.
