‘CSI’ Author Finds The Truth

LONDON, England (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One film professor in London is sinking his scholarly scalpel in the CSI series.

Dr. Michael Allen is a lecturer in Film Studies at Birkbeck College, and as editor of Reading CSI: Crime TV Under the Microscope (I.B. Taurus), Allen delves deep into the forensics drama.

But he’s not sick of it yet.

Allen says, “Sometimes if you write a book about something, you never want to see it again, but that’s not the case with CSI. It hasn’t put me off.”

The book includes academic interpretations of the show from forensic experts, as well as more colorful, critical commentary from TV critics and fanatics.

And, while CSI’s glitz and glamour is exaggerated, Allen still finds the show better than its mysterious competition.

He says, “We tried watching Lost, but we gave up on it. We got infuriated by it.”
