Jeanne Wolf’s Hollywood: Celebrity Advance Items From Movies.Com

HOLLYWOOD (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Rush Hour 3 funny man Chris Tucker is one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood, and he tells columnist Jeanne Wolf he has used his A-list status to hang out with some of the biggest ballers around. Tucker explains, “I took advantage of being a celebrity. I went on these great trips around the world with Bill Clinton, Bono, Colin Powell, and Oprah Winfrey, and I got to become friends with them. It’s cool to be famous. I’d find myself in some king’s private 747 flying somewhere and I was like, ‘Damn, I wish somebody could see this!’’

HOLLYWOOD – Action star Jackie Chan has made it big on the silver screen through his Rush Hour films, but he wasn’t exactly sure about signing on at first. Chan tells Jeanne Wolf, “They called me for the first Rush Hour and I said, ‘No, I don’t like to do this kind of movie.’ I say, ‘Policeman from Hong Kong with a black American cop – what’s that about?’ But I do the film anyway and when I see it, I hate it. The action is bad. The dialogue, I don’t understand. The they call me and say, ‘Wow, big success; $32 million the first week.’ I go, ‘Oh, now I like it!”’

HOLLYWOOD – Actress Claire Danes plays a celestial star that falls from the sky in Stardust, but she tells Jeanne Wolf that Robert DeNiro was the real star on the set. Danes explains, “I was intimidated, but I thought it was pretty great when he told us to call him ‘Bob.’ I got to waltz with him on a pirate ship. It’s clear that he likes acting because he really comes alive when he’s doing it. The rest of the time he’s very internal and quiet. There’s a kind of discrepancy between who he is as a guy and who he is as an actor.”

HOLLYWOOD – Rosario Dawson has a leading role in the upcoming dramatic film, Descent, but she wasn’t so lucky when trying to nab a part in Rob Zombie’s film, The Devil’s Rejects. Dawson tells Jeanne Wolf, “I called to ask him for a part, but he said no. I did get to do a voice in his animated feature, The Haunted House Of El Superbeasto, though. I play a stripper who can make her boobs change size by blowing on her thumb. But, hey, it’s just a cartoon.”

HOLLYWOOD – Actor Jason Behr played a teen alien in the TV series Roswell, but in his new film Skinwalkers, he plays a werewolf that’s out for blood. To get into hairy scary character, Behr tells Jeanne Wolf he turned to one of the scariest movies he watched as a child, American Werewolf In London. Behr explains, “It scared the st out of me when I was a kid. I got up and crawled across a Thanksgiving dinner table, through mashed potatoes, through the turkey, through the gravy, over the rivers of wine that I created; just to get my mom because someone had said the word, ‘werewolf.”’

HOLLYWOOD – Actor Adam Goldberg exposes his bod in the upcoming film 2 Days In Paris, and he wasn’t shy about bearing it all. He tells Jeanne Wolf, “There was a lot of talk about the body. I had no idea, I should drop trow more often. I did it in The Salton Sea and nobody cared, so go figure. It’s the same body!”
