Celebrities Battle For Ballot Box

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you’re not planning on voting in the next presidential election, some celebrities would like a word with you.

“Declare Yourself” is an Internet campaign featuring more than 20 stars, from Entourage’s Adrien Grenier to model maverick Tyra Banks, urging every 18- year-old American to register to vote.

For Elizabeth Rosenberg, Declare Yourself’s marketing director, the connection between Tinseltown and the voting booth is a perfect match.

Rosenberg says celebrity clients like T.R. Knight, America Ferrera, and Jessica Alba “are all role models in their arena,” and Rosenberg casts her vote very highly for one rising star.

She says, “Hayden Panettiere turns 18 next month, and she’s been really vocal about how excited she is to register.”

And don’t worry if your political stance leans one way or the other – the outspoken stars aren’t stuffing any ballots.

Rosenberg says, “No one endorses a party. The only importance is getting young people to register.”
