Stylish Shoe Not Just Spinning Its Wheels

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One new sneaker for bike messengers is making the big step off the pedals and onto the streets.

That’s the special delivery from Rob Reedy of Chrome, a San Francisco company whose new shoe, the “Milo,” is a good fit for more than just hardcore bikers on the city’s steep slopes.

Reedy describes the “Milo,” – which rode onto shelves this past Wednesday (June 27) – as an urban casual riding shoe, and he says it’s for bikers who want to “get off the bike and go to the bar or a party and be comfortable and feel good.”

Although the shoe was tested at last month’s North American Cycle Courier Championships, Reedy says he anticipates the shoe stepping into fashion with “urban hipsters” and others who don’t spin their wheels as fast.

Reedy says, “If people see that it works for the hardcore commuter, they’ll realize it’ll work for their four- block walk.”
