Jeanne Wolf’s Hollywood: Celebrity Advance Items From Movies.Com

HOLLYWOOD (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Sexy starlet Jessica Alba enjoys having superhero powers as the Invisible Woman on Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer, and she tells columnist Jeanne Wolf she wouldn’t mind having the fantastic powers in real life. Alba says, “Force fields and invisibility could be very handy to keep a guy in line. I think it could be useful when your guy isn’t listening to you to just put him in a force field.”

HOLLYWOOD – Jessica Alba plays a blind violinist in her upcoming film, The Eye, but to really play the part she had to learn to walk with a cane, read Braille, and look convincing while she faked playing the violin. Alba tells Jeanne Wolf, “I practiced Beethoven and Mozart for hours, but when you see the film, it’s not my playing. My fingering is accurate, but the sound is terrible.”

HOLLYWOOD – The indestructible Hellboy actor, Doug Jones, plays the Silver Surfer in the new Fantastic Four film, and even though his character is actually voiced by Laurence Fishburne, don’t call Jones a mime. The silent actor tells Jeanne Wolf, “That’s how I got started, and I still get that label. But I don’t wear white on my face, and I got out of the box years ago.”

HOLLYWOOD – Welsh actor Ioan Gruffudd plays the handsome heartthrob Reed Richards in Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer, but he tells Jeanne Wolf that the real stud in the movie is the Silver Surfer. Gruffudd admits, “I have to say, he’s incredibly sexy with his silver shine and his neat surf board. I think I’m envious of him.”

HOLLYWOOD – My Name Is Earl star Jaime Pressly has learned to use her sexy blonde locks and Southern charm to her advantage in acting over the years, but she admits that being a blonde bombshell isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Pressly tells Jeanne Wolf, “People always seem to think you’re a dumbass. And since I’m from the South, I used to get typecast a lot as white trash.”

HOLLYWOOD – Adorable actress Emma Roberts – who happens to be Julia Roberts’ niece – plays the nerdy Nancy Drew in the new detective flick by the same name, but the usually fashionable teen tells Jeanne Wolf that she didn’t mind donning Drew’s geeky duds for the film – especially the penny loafers. Roberts says, “Everybody makes fun of Nancy when she wears the penny loafers, but I think they could make a fashion comeback.”
