‘Pirate Master’ Reject Gets Punted

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – NFL athlete Christian Okoye retired as the Kansas City Chiefs’ all-time rushing leader, but he didn’t get very many yards as a “pro pirate.”

Okoye got kicked off the reality show, Pirate Master this past Thursday (June 7) by his swashbuckling shipmates before he even made half-time on the show.

But the running back says football and pirate games didn’t have much in common for him.

Says Okoye: “Being a pirate master, they don’t tell you what you’re going to do. You don’t know things in advance, like plays in football.”

As for what pro athlete would have what it takes to loot and plunder the competition, Okoye says he’d root for former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Steve DeBerg.

Okoye says, “Steve would definitely make the ultimate pirate. He’s always playing games with everybody and he’d be a happy pirate.”
