HOLLYWOOD Hollywood hunk George Clooney has been working with his Oceans entourage for years, and hes enjoyed watching his co-stars like Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Don Cheadle grow up and become dads. The actor tells Jeanne Wolf, Its fun to watch their families grow. Its really exciting actually except for the diapers.
HOLLYWOOD Matt Damon has definitely mastered his card skills during Oceans Thirteen, but not even Damon could show George Clooney how to be a good player. Damon tells Jeanne Wolf, I really thought I could teach George to play blackjack, but it was a disaster. I wasnt even trying and I still took every hand. Afterwards, he slipped a $2,500 check under the door of my dressing room that said, For services rendered. Of course, he failed to sign it.
HOLLYWOOD Actress Ellen Barkin enjoyed gambling on location while filming Oceans Thirteen, but she tells Jeanne Wolf she liked the excitement of possibly losing better than actually winning a hand. Barkin explains, I had no interest in the game when I was winning, unlike most people who are really into it and excited as the chips are piling up. I would kind of make these wildly extravagant bets just so I could have no chips left, and then I would get excited again.
HOLLYWOOD Actor Shia LaBeouf voices an adorable penguin in the new animated flick Surfs Up, but he tells Jeanne Wolf that some penguins are not to be trusted. He jokes, Not all penguins are cute and cuddly, incidentally. Theyve been seen in massage parlors and at AA meetings. Some penguins are fed up. Some of them have addiction problems. But the ones I met were totally professional.
HOLLYWOOD Funny man Jon Heder plays a surfing chicken opposite Shia LaBeouf in Surfs Up, but he admits hes never actually hung 10. He tells Jeanne Wolf, Ive hung 20, though. Ive been on a surfboard, but Ive never been able to stand up. Ive got to try again. I love swimming in the ocean, just hanging out and checking out the wildlife, squeezing sea urchins, whatever.
