Wedding expert Leah Ingram, author of Tie The Knot On A Shoestring (Alpha), says couples can save thousands of dollars by having their wedding while the rest of America is tuned into the big game.
She admits the groom and male guests might groan about missing the game, but you can score some great deals.
If youre afraid your potential guests will pick the Bowl over the Bride, Ingram says the second best day to plan the nuptials is the Monday of Memorial Day weekend.
She explains: That Monday is a great time to tie the knot because people have already left after the long weekend and prices drop.
However, if you MUST have your wedding on a weekend, Ingram suggests looking into dates in January and February, because no one really thinks about getting hitched in the winter.
