Fans Wants ‘G.I. Joe’ To Hit Big Screen

NORTH HUNTINGDON, Penn. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Now that the ’80s cartoon Transformers is being made into a big- budget live action film, what’s next?

Well, if fans of 1980s pop culture have their say, G.I. Joe will be next.

According to a poll by 80stees.com, nearly 27 percent of Americans want to see a G.I. Joe movie, particularly if Cobra Commander is the villain.

Meanwhile, 24 percent think Thundercats would make a good movie, while 12 percent want to see a He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe movie.

Other ’80s icons didn’t score so well. Only 4 percent want to see a live-action version of Rainbow Brite, and barely 2 percent could stand to see Strawberry Shortcake on the big screen.
