Rock Gods Paint Guitars To Benefit Kids Music

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – How much would you pay for a guitar painted by Kelly Clarkson or Ozzy Osbourne?

Well, a man who is organizing a benefit concert that includes an auction of guitars painted by various rock gods is hoping at least one of them sells for $950,000.

The concert takes place May 17 at the Hollywood House Of Blues and features performances by Dave Navarro, Scott Ian of Anthrax, and Aaron Lewis of Staind, who will be paying tribute to Pantera guitarist Darrell “Dimebag” Abbott.

In addition, there will be an auction of more than 50 guitars that have been painted by celebrities like Clarkson, Osbourne, Slash and Dave Grohl.

Fans can place advance bids for the guitars starting Wednesday (Apr. 4) and guitar curator Curse Mackey hopes that at least one of the guitars sells for more than $950,000, which is the current record for highest price ever paid for a guitar.

Funds raised from the event will go to “Little Kids Rock,” an organization that donates instruments and rock lessons to public schools.
