Tuxedo Jeans The Next Big Thing?

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Designer jeans are nothing new, but now one high-end jean designer is kicking things up a notch.

Michael Houghton – who designs jeans under the DeHoghton brand – is currently working on a jean tuxedo that he predicts will blend uptown fashion with downtown attitude.

Houghton’s jeans are already worn by rock stars like Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler and Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy and he figures it will allow them to keep their edge even when they have to dress up for occasions like the Grammys.

The tuxedo jeans are still in the sample stages, but Houghton promises they will be very classy since, as he puts it, “This isn’t faded blue denim. I’m using black denim that looks almost leather.”

Although the tuxedo jeans won’t be available until the fall, Houghton figures they could be all the rage with celebs by the time the next awards season rolls around.

Meanwhile, Houghton’s other jeans are currently available at retail stores around the nation.
