Third Grader Gave Seasoned Screenwriter Best Advice

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Penning blockbuster screenplays may come naturally to the writer of the latest Indiana Jones installment – but that doesn’t mean he’s not open to suggestions.

Screenwriter David Koepp has written such hits as Mission: Impossible and Jurassic Park but says he listens to all of his fan’s advice – even if they’re only in third grade.

For instance, when Koepp was writing The Lost World, one third grade kid suggested he not “have a long boring part at the beginning, and bring out the dinosaurs early.”

As far as Indiana Jones is concerned, Koepp says he was “a little intimidated” by the project and says he realizes people are going to be extra judgmental of his work.

Says Koepp: “People grew up with Indiana Jones. They have certain expectations for this movie.”

Koepp’s very first movie, the 1988 cult classic Apartment Zero, which stars Colin Firth, will be released on DVD February 20.
