‘Never-Ending Story’ Top Dragon Film Of All

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The new dragon flick, Eragon, opens tomorrow (Dec. 15) but it’s anyone’s guess if it will become a beloved part of the dragon film canon.

According to a survey by the movie ticket website, 1984’s The Never-Ending Story is still the top dragon movie with 33 percent of film fans.

Meanwhile, 23 percent of dragon film devotees have the hots for the 1996 Dennis Quaid dragon flick, Dragonheart, while 19 percent still burn for Reign Of Fire, a film from 2002 starring Christian Bale and Matthew McConaughey.

Another 15 percent are fond of the 1977 Helen Reddy musical, Pete’s Dragon, and 6 percent were slayed by the 1981 movie, Dragonslayer.

Finally, a lot of people must think the 2000 film version of Dungeons & Dragons was a drag because only 4 percent picked it as their top dragon film.
