Too Much Egg Nog Screws Up Snapshots

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you want to take your best holiday photos, abstain from the egg nog until after the photo shoot.

According to John Owen, the editor of Popular Photography & Imaging magazine, as many as 6 percent of holiday photos are ruined because the photographer drank too much egg nog before picking up a camera.

Of course, there are plenty of other ways to screw up a snapshot. Owen says 29 percent of photographers stand too far away from their subjects.

  • 25 percent goof by not checking the background before snapping a photo.

  • 20 percent of photo buffs use a direct flash and end up shooting pics of red-eyed relatives.

  • 10 percent are too shaky when they use a camera.

Finally, 9 percent don’t get good photos because they take too few of them.
